The food and setting were outstanding; I loved the cozy bedroom and appreciated Caroline’s effort to turn down the bedcovers and place a hot water bottle under the sheets—thank you. The guard watched our car all night, which was amazing too.

We were thrilled with every aspect of the property; each staff member went above and beyond to make us feel at home and added so many special touches for our anniversary that it was an amazing stay. The breakfast was fantastic, and a big thank you to Macaron for making the experience exceptional.

The aesthetic was lovely, breakfast was great, and the staff were helpful and always ready to assist. Because it was cold at night, we were given hot water bottles and the fireplace was lit in our rooms and the breakfast area. The white lady, who I think is the manager, followed us while we were busy taking pictures in the morning before checkout, constantly monitoring our movements; she seemed to think we hadn’t checked out even though we had. Even though she appeared friendly, her behavior made us uncomfortable. When we asked if we could come back the next day for a few more pictures, she refused and said the guesthouse would be fully booked. I doubt she would have treated her own people the same way she treated us. The other staff at the guesthouse were lovely, friendly, respectful, and accommodating.
