The complimentary toiletries and bicycles were great. The hotel is on the lakeside in a rural setting, though it’s close to a road and easy to drive to. Breakfast was not available. The kitchen was very small, with a shared fridge and microwave, but no utensils. We did get spoons from the reception when we asked. There was no dining table or chairs near the kitchen. The rooms had kettles and coffee cups. The indoor layout with different levels and stairs made it unsuitable for a person with mobility issues. The reception and bar were accessible from outside.

The location was beautiful and the room was fine. The bathroom was subpar and the shower didn’t work well.

The receptionist was helpful. The room had rattles, was dark, and the outlets were oddly placed. The “kitchen” was basic, with a coffee maker and a few pots, but no filter coffee or paper.

The location fit my travel plans. The bed was good and the hotel was quiet, so I slept well. The reception staff were pleasant, though they didn’t respond to my messages. The hotel and room had an unpleasant, stale smell. The staff at reception had an overpowering perfume that was almost unbearable. The TV was broken or poorly functioning; on that day the room should have had a modern, working HDTV. The pillow was bad, but I had my own pillow with me. It would have been nice if the hotel were modernised, cleaned, repainted, and refurbished for this decade. It was frustrating that my messages weren’t answered.
