Hiking trails and skiing at Osternohe are nearby, with free parking and the A9 motorway 4 km away.

The location is quiet amid a mountainous landscape, but the reception and checkout lacked a friendly greeting, a strong odor lingered in the room, the shower was cramped, and the towels were frayed.

The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is good, yet the usual “rubber” mattress protectors make you sweat at night even at moderate temperatures.

After a long drive we stayed one night and appreciated how close the place is to the highway; the Igelwirt is worth recommending for a short holiday, though the house smelled quite a bit of food from the restaurant, fortunately the rooms did not.

What stood out most was the friendliness and willingness to help. When we arrived, they assisted us in finding a suitable parking spot. I have nothing to criticize.
