We had a very roomy place near restaurants, theatres, and other attractions; the windows blocked out sound well, the temperature control kept us cool in hot weather, and the shared kitchen was fine even though we didn’t cook; the small balcony overlooking Teatro Massimo was useful and not crowded, though I’m unsure how it feels when all rooms are full. Manuela was very communicative and offered many dining suggestions. The shower had great water pressure and the en‑suite was spacious, and we could keep drinks cold in the fridge. The bed felt very firm and the pillows were flat, but that’s a personal preference. The remote‑controlled doors and phone‑based check‑in felt a bit impersonal, though a keypad would be similar; I didn’t realize it was a shared apartment until I saw another person in the kitchen during our two days.

The location is unbeatable, right in Politeama facing the theatre with plenty of shops, restaurants, good transport, and everything within walking distance. Manuela was an outstanding host, very communicative, gracious, and thoughtful. The apartment feels modernized and stylish, exuding a luxurious Italian vibe; the building is old but well maintained with high ceilings and a romantic design, and it’s very clean. The room was spacious, the private toilet and shower were great with amazing water pressure, and the air conditioning worked well following Manuela’s instructions. Even though the area is lively at night, the modern windows were soundproof, so I didn’t hear any noise. The shared kitchen and washing machine were lifesavers when traveling with a small child. I would add a booster seat or high chair in the dining room and print out instructions for the air conditioning in advance, but these are minor points.

The place is fantastic, just 10 minutes from Teatro Massimo. Manuela was incredibly kind and full of useful tips, and the breakfast at the piazza bar was spectacular. If you’re looking for a tiny tweak, I’d suggest the ability to dim the lighting a bit; it’s probably doable but not obvious. The only downside is the bed’s proximity to a wall.
