“Prettig hotel in centrum van Bourg-en-Bresse”

The room and bathroom were spacious, and the hotel sits in a beautiful building right in the center; all nearby restaurants and bars are within walking distance. However, the rooms could use a refresh, and although the building houses a restaurant, there was no hotel bar and we didn’t use the restaurant during our stay.

The hotel’s location is great, and private parking is available for 15 euros if you book it in advance. The downside is that the room’s view is just the roofs of old buildings, the soundproofing is poor so you can hear neighbors showering, the bed is very uncomfortable, and breakfast was quite mediocre.

The room is comfortably furnished, the hotel is centrally located, and everything else is top.

The central location, the parking in front of the building, and the newly renovated bathroom are positives. The staff were extremely uninterested; we had to wait almost 15 minutes for the young man at the reception to finish a private conversation, then he searched for a suitable room for us. What he found was a very small space that looked more like a storage room, with the bed barely fitting; it turned out to be the smallest on the entire floor. Both the hallway and the room smelled terrible, so we could only sleep with the window wide open. When I complained in the morning that the hair dryer was broken, the young woman at reception simply replied, “Okay.” It’s really not worth staying again.
