“Great value for money”

The location and privacy were solid, and the owner replied quickly and did their best to keep us comfortable. The curtains and rods, however, need better fixing.

The location is definitely superb! The cabin was spacious and had basic appliances. Staff is very nice and welcoming too. No AC made nights tough, and for that price, at least tea and coffee should have been provided in the morning.

“Could be much better.”

The view from the front was stunning, right on the water. The cookware and grill were basically unusable—pans had scratched non‑stick coating, the grill was dirty and rusty, and the brushes were worn out and needed replacement. The back bedroom’s bathroom side had a moldy smell that lingered, forcing us to toss a few blankets, a duffel bag, and other items after we left because we couldn’t rid the scent. Fans were cracked, noisy, and filthy; my wife had to clean their grates herself to stop dust from blowing around. We were far from Manitoulin Island since it was our first time in the area, so if you’re just fishing and don’t care about accommodations, you’ll be fine.

“The view of the lake is pretty, but I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone”

Pets were allowed, which is hard to find nearby, and we could book on the day with flexible check‑in, handy after a long drive. However, the check‑in instructions were vague and we struggled to locate the correct cabin—no map or signs were provided. An extra fee for linens and towels was a turnoff, and the linens we received had long dark hairs and small stains. There was no hand soap in the cabin, and we found clear urine stains on the toilet seat; the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. It was just a stopover for the night on a road trip, and I wouldn’t have stayed any longer than we did.

“Flies were unforgiving. Literally could not go outside. Property was very dated. Also a bit grubby, floor not swept.”

The lakefront location and good quality outdoor furniture were highlights. Inside, the furniture was old, and both the bed and sofa needed replacement.
