“My stay was great overall, except for the booking issue.”

The place is the nearest accommodation to Bluewater, and they let us rent a room for a couple of hours since we arrived earlier than expected. The staff gave us helpful information and kept our important belongings safe. The seaside view is beautiful and a great spot for photos. On the downside, the booking system mis‑matched the room I booked with the room information they received, which caused confusion—this should be fixed. I booked a month in advance, so there should have been time to verify details. Also, while the staff were helpful, they weren’t very warm toward guests. After showing proof of my booked room type, they immediately told us to move out, and despite my explanation I felt the blame was being placed on me. They eventually let us stay in the same room, but the way the situation was handled left me a bit off.

I liked the cliff‑side view. The only downside was that there was no free drinking water, cold or hot.

The area has a path that leads to the beach, with a bamboo bridge and bamboo chairs where you can enjoy the sea view like a hidden paradise. We stayed in room 2, which had no windows and was a dim little room; the indoor lighting was very dim, making it hard to find things even with a flashlight. The room was small and the light too weak to want to stay in it. At the foot of the bed a wall had a cloth covering a door that wouldn’t open, and I could hear snoring—probably an employee’s room. In the bathroom the water pressure was very low at night and there was no hot water until the morning when the pressure increased.

“The beach was great even if you have to go down 200 steps but was worth it.”

The location is great and very accessible. I booked a Junior Suite, but the room turned out to be small and had no toiletries. Most staff were not accommodating, and some were somewhat rude. When we asked for help, one staff member dismissed us and told us to go to the front desk. The only helpful staff was Elvie; the rest clearly need customer‑service training. If you need coffee early, you must have hot water ready at night because the front desk is closed until 7am, and there’s no water heater in the room. We brought a hot‑water jug and asked for hot water before bed. It’s ridiculous that they charge a corkage fee while the restaurant isn’t open until 7am, so you can’t even get a cup of coffee. Guests are usually up by 5am, but there are no nearby stores, making it a bit of a struggle.

We slept in a tent, nothing to complain about. Otherwise the location was great, right in the middle of Oslob for all the activities. The shower and toilet setup could use some improvement.
