I couldn’t get into the booking; the owner cancelled it because there was no water at the property.

Getting to Saqqara was easy because the village is right next to it. The village is lively, with many people, kids, and even oxen and horses, giving you a feel of a Chinese village from a few decades ago; the surroundings are average, but the locals are cheerful and relaxed. The host’s family is warm, helped with parking, and offered tea and breakfast, though it was a bit late. The host woman is pretty and her child is adorable. The village paths are rough and you need to be prepared; the navigation is winding but you can reach your destination. After dark it’s hard to shop and the kids around will “one刀嘞” (cutting).

Mohammed and his family were great, making me feel very welcome. The place is quite rural, which adds to its charm, and Mohammed is ready to help with anything that might come up. I misread the blanket for a towel and ended up cold that night, but it’s not their fault—my own oversight, haha.

The owner and his wife were very welcoming, gave good advice, and were very kind! I strongly recommend this spot for anyone wanting a warm experience. I’ll be back!
