Located in central Cabo San Lucas, the Fairfield by Marriott Los Cabos is a modern hotel situated 300 meters from the Cabo San Lucas Marina. It features an outdoor pool, a gym, and free high-speed internet access. Rooms offer iPod docks, flat-screen cable TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities, and mini fridges with free bottled water. A 10-minute stroll leads to the beach.

Breakfast was very good, the bed was comfortable, and the front‑desk woman went out of her way to get me some change and let me borrow a pen. There was no coffee for the pot, no microwave in the room, and it wasn’t close to the airport.

The staff were very friendly and the location was good for heading to Playa Médano, and walking to the marina takes about 15 minutes. The included breakfast was good. The air conditioning didn’t work, the room temperature was between 25 and 37 degrees, and overall cleanliness was poor. It wasn’t horrible, but I wouldn’t recommend it; you can find better accommodation for the same cost.
