The hotel feels like a welcoming community where most of the Ama divers are women, creating a friendly and warm atmosphere. The ladies running the place—two sisters at the front desk and a mother behind the scenes—are fantastic. The onsen is really nice.

I stayed for a waterfall practice with Shirataki-san and a visit to Ise Jingu with Ishigami-san. The shuttle bus that brought me there was very friendly and warm, which made me feel at ease. The hot spring was pleasant, and the food was delicious.

I was there with my elderly mother, and they adjusted the meal menu for her. The hot spring was small but relaxing and very good. On the rooftop terrace you can see clear stars and sunrise, though the stairs are a bit steep; just be careful and you’ll be fine.
