Elegant rooms have neutral interiors, flat-screen TVs, and coffee machines. En-suite bathrooms include bathtubs or showers with heated water. Located in the city heart, it's close to Singapore City Gallery, Sri Mariamman Temple, and Chinatown Heritage Centre, 18 km from Changi Airport.

The spacious room and the location close to the metro were great, that’s the only thing I liked. The breakfast was subpar, not what I expect from Sofitel. The pool had no atmosphere and the sunbeds were very dirty. Our room was on the 16th floor, it was annoying to have to take two separate elevators to get there. The wall in the toilet wasn’t clean; there were dirty brown stains on it before we used it.

The property was overall well kept, the bedroom was spacious, and the food quality was very good. However, the dining options in the restaurant are confusing—there’s a diner, a bar menu, an à la carte menu, a half‑board menu, and a buffet all mixed together. It would be simpler to have a buffet with separate food stations instead of all these menus. On Friday evenings there’s a loud DJ; the music was very loud and there weren’t many guests at 8 pm, so the volume should be lowered.

The pool was lovely, breakfast was nice, the staff were very helpful, and the place smelled good.
