“Don’t expect 5 star service”
I had a good stay near the beach and restaurants. The staff were helpful but not as attentive as I’m used to; they’d usually say “if you need anything, let us know” and check in on us. When I asked for something, they helped. The room was clean and comfy, and the stairs weren’t a problem. A highlight was the motorbike guy—his smile was welcoming and he seemed genuinely kind. When I walked back to the pier, he offered to take me on his bike without asking for payment, which felt like extra service. I’d definitely return for the location. I’m not picky about staying for a few days, just need to sleep and shower, but bugs and lizards are expected in the jungle; I didn’t expect one to enter the room so quickly. I tried calling the staff from the receipt to fix it, but no one answered. I told them, but they seemed used to it, showed no remorse, and handed me a card with the actual phone number.
