The spot’s right by the town centre and the beach, so everything’s a quick walk away. All the usual comforts were there, and Jerry and Libby gave solid info before we got there. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the bed – a bit on the firm side.

We had a great time at Ocean Breeze. Spotless and comfy, with a deck, yard, and verandah to soak up the sun. The location is perfect – waterfront, shops, restaurants all close. The pet‑friendly policy made it even better. We didn’t want to leave.

The house is a bit older but tastefully decorated, with three bedrooms, a decent shower, a fully stocked kitchen, a veranda that has a BBQ and laundry, plus a tiny garden and a second outdoor toilet. The host was quick to reply and the place is dog‑friendly (one pet). It’s a stone’s throw from the Maritime Museum and within a 5‑minute walk to shops and restaurants, and a 10‑minute walk to the beach and jetty where you can rent boats or kayaks.

The cottage was pretty nice and clean, had a baby cot and high‑chair, and was close to town. The only issues were the $500 security deposit that took a month to get back, spotty communication before and after the stay, a broken vacuum that the owner said was replaced later, and a high‑chair that came in dusty and sandy.
