A cosy, lovely room right in the old town. It was amazing to stay so close to both the beach and all the charming restaurants. The staff were excellent and very flexible with checkout times, and they helped us after we left something behind in the room. Truly incredible people.

Profumo Antico surpassed every expectation. The property was fantastic, and its proximity to Monopoli’s historic centre was a huge plus. The guest house itself was wonderful, set in a beautiful spot just steps from all the action. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel, and they were attentive to our needs. All the accommodations and amenities were top‑class. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or stay. Thank you, Profumo Antico, for an awesome experience! Nothing was missing; everything was wonderful.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was small but had a great shower. Amenities like shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were missing! There was no breakfast.

Very clean rooms. Matteo was very friendly with good recommendations. One of the beds was hard as a rock. We didn’t like turning up and seeing a communal area with other guests belongings spread out everywhere. It’s a great location but is very noisy as you can hear the street noise late into the evening. The other guests also came home at 2.30am and were spent time in the communal area talking loudly as it backed onto our bedroom. The first two nights the shower didn’t have hot water so we had to have cold showers. Couldn’t work out coffee machine and no instructions on how to use. There’s no wifi for our laptops for work, so had to hot spot off our phone

The location is spot‑on in the city centre and within walking distance of the beaches, though some may find it noisy because of refuse and laundry pickups and deliveries. The balcony table broke under our drinks, the coffee machine was broken (a basic Nespresso would have sufficed!), and three lights had no working bulbs. Hot water for showers was inconsistent, and the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay—typical of cheaper places.
