The staff were incredibly kind, patient, helpful, and available around the clock. However, the bathroom’s ventilator bricks and window weren’t screened, letting mosquitoes in, and the bathroom door handle was loose.

At last, a nice, affordable spot in Kampala! The neighborhood is charming with cheap restaurants, fresh and tasty food. My room with a private bathroom was spotless and safe. The owner, a very friendly Ugandan man, ran a taxi service from the airport, which was a lifesaver for me as a solo female arriving at night. Meeting him was easy, and I felt secure.
