Located in the vibrant Södermalm district, Scandic Malmen is a stylish hotel near Medborgarplatsen Square. Each room features a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with a refreshing shower. The hotel offers an organic breakfast buffet, an in-house restaurant with European and Nordic cuisine, and three bars with live entertainment. Guests enjoy free gym access and proximity to Medborgarplatsen Metro Station, a 5-minute ride from Stockholm Central Station.

The location is good, but they never reset the room or changed the bath linens.

The furnishings, comfort, and lighting of the room, the welcoming atmosphere of the breakfast area, and the variety of the breakfast buffet—mostly savory but very rich and colorful—were all great. The hotel’s location was also a plus. We chose a Scandic hotel in Stockholm after staying at the same chain in Gothenburg, where the tree offers more services. The carpet in the common areas, especially the hallway leading to the room, did not emit a pleasant smell.

Breakfast was good, and the breakfast attendant was very friendly. The staff at check‑in were not friendly.
