Everyone was super friendly and the staff accommodated all our needs. It was our first stop in Malawi and definitely a very positive and memorable one.

Very central, a 15‑minute walk from the bus station. The room is nicely arranged. There’s a great restaurant and karaoke on Fridays at night. The water wasn’t very hot; it was externally monitored, so someone probably turned it off in the meantime.

The dorm was clean, the staff were friendly, and overall it was a good experience.

The lodge sits right next to a supermarket and a local market, which is handy for travelers needing supplies. However, the management was poor and unsafe: outsiders could enter during events, even at night, and those attending bar events shared the dorm’s public restrooms and could slip into private areas. People were loud and drunk outside our doors, and we even found a used condom in front of a room one morning. No one informed us about any events beforehand, and we were subjected to loud music from midnight until 3‑4 a.m.
