The location was very convenient.

The location was excellent, and the host was responsive with enough extra amenities. However, the cleanliness was lacking; at first glance it seemed fine, but later you notice gaps and neglect in some key areas, and the room was filled with cigarette odor.

The hotel sits right in the heart of Plovdiv and the price was hard to beat, plus the room was surprisingly large and came with a balcony thanks to the manager’s help. The building itself looks a bit dated and the door has a little window that lets the hallway light spill into the room at night – I was allowed to switch it off after midnight.

The only thing that stood out was the location – it’s right where you need to be. Inside, the place was filthy, with a strong cigarette odor, dust and stains covering everything, and the single bathroom was constantly occupied since it serves all guests.
