The apartment is decent, but if you rent a three‑person room and don’t want to share a single bed, you’ll have to pay an extra €20 upon arrival. There’s a shop and a restaurant on the site, but in reality you’re only in Epernay.

The breakfast is functional and solid; no complaints.

The hosts were super welcoming. The accommodation was basic but charming, and it’s always nice to find a fridge stocked with champagne that guests can help themselves to (though the champagne had to be paid for on an honesty system).

The room is a good size with a comfortable bed and a great location for a stopover on our way to the UK. The only downside is that there are no windows—only a balcony door—so if you want fresh air at night you have to open the balcony, which is shared with other rooms.
