Seaside Retreat with Postcard Views in Cascades occupies a newly renovated boat offering one bedroom, one bathroom, a sun terrace, on‑site restaurant, and free Wi‑Fi. Guests enjoy private check‑in/out, a coffee shop, outdoor seating, bike hire, and paid private parking. Located a three‑minute walk from Praia de Santa Marta, it provides easy access to Sintra’s attractions, including Quinta da Regaleira and the National Palace.

I keep dreaming about this stay—where do I even start! As a solo female first‑time boat traveler, it was the most intriguing experience I’ve had. Cascais is a stunning town with lovely streets, art, beaches, and restaurants, offering everything you could want. The marina is kept to a very high standard; just steps from your pontoon you’ll find eateries serving every cuisine, plus a mix of luxury shops and essentials like a hair salon, mini‑market, and exercise apparel. There are also bike rentals and boat excursions nearby. Only a very short walk from the pontoon you’ll find private bathrooms/showers for boat visitors, laundry facilities, bins, phone charging spots, filtered water, and an ice machine. The boat itself is clean and comfortable, with a double bed, bedding, towels, a sink, water, a mini kitchen with utensils, coffee facilities, power outlets, and plenty of hidden storage—I loved it! Boarding and disembarking were easy, and I slept soundly, gently rocked by the water. The boat can be locked for security, and access to the pontoon is key‑card only, so it felt very safe. The neighboring boats were friendly, and there’s marina security at night. From about 10 pm the place gets very quiet as businesses close, creating a very peaceful environment for sleep. Owner Francisco was incredibly helpful, giving all the information I needed about the boat, services, and local restaurants at check‑in, and he stayed in touch throughout my stay, ready to answer any questions. If you’re thinking about booking, just do it!

Unusual, cozy, and unique. Being away from the noisy crowds yet within walking distance of services and activities. A different life from just being on a moored boat. Meditation, tranquility, calm. I’ll happily return.

Staying on the sailboat was such a unique and fun experience, with a little sense of adventure. Everything was super clean and really well thought out for the small space. The beds and duvets were super comfy, and Francisco is such a warm and passionate host!
