“Its gud location to stay with nice local food”

I was on the road and the hotel had a nice restaurant, everything else was fine.

The spot is great, the restaurant food is excellent, the bathroom had hot water and was clean, the beds were comfy, and the owner was especially helpful and kind. The only downside is there’s no common area to meet other travelers—just the restaurant—but overall it’s fine and I’d stay again.

This is the sole hostel in Turtuk, and in a place with pricey homestays, it’s a lifesaver for budget backpackers. I truly appreciated Salman bhai’s hospitality; he cooks tasty Balti cuisine at his nearby restaurant and helped me arrange a car to Thang, the last village of India, at a reasonable rate. There’s plenty to explore in Turtuk, though most people give up because the alleys are confusing.

“Just highly recommend it !!”

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, booked me a bus ticket, found an affordable shared taxi, and always had an answer whenever I asked. The rooms were clean, the lockers were very spacious and came with a lock and key. Right next to the hostel is a lovely little restaurant that grows many of its own ingredients; it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a long day, and the food is absolutely delicious. This was one of the best places I stayed during my India trip, and I would definitely recommend it—nothing was wrong, it was all perfect.
