A hefty suitcase was lugged up a narrow, brick staircase by a petite, strong woman host who moved like a pro, and I watched her in awe; after that exhausting climb she handed me a steaming cup of homegrown, organic rosemary tea with a warm grin. The Nepali couple were friendly and kind, even though a language gap made communication tough without Google translate, and by the second day they even brought in an English‑speaking man to help me out. The farm’s views were breathtaking, and my east‑facing room faced the hills in full display. The room itself needed a bit of cleaning, but my vegan meals were tasty and plentiful despite my restrictions. WIFI worked well most of the time, and the uphill walk to town took about 30 minutes. Locals were friendly, helpful, and eager to answer questions. The bathroom needed cleaning and the mattress was hard.
