The balcony and its view were enjoyable; the room stayed cool because it’s not on the sunny side, the area is green and not busy, the hosts were nice, the private kitchen was good, and the shower worked well. However, the kitchen is oddly close to the neighbours’ kitchen with no proper wall isolation, so you can hear everything; the room isn’t as large as the photos suggested—just enough for one person on a long stay; and Hikkaduwa beach is not walkable, with huge waves covering the whole beach in some spots.

The location is great, close to the beach and the main street, with a private kitchen in the room that includes a gas stove and fridge, a separate entrance, and a large balcony that serves as a dining area. The hosts are friendly and live on the first floor. The only downside is that it’s a bit hard to find; there are no signs or a name board for the guest house.

It’s local to town and the centre, a 15‑minute walk through a nice area. Clean, very comfortable, a little paradise with a beautiful balcony overlooking a lush green garden. The tiny kitchen is great—you can make coffee in the morning and breakfast easily. Every little detail the owner thinks about is appreciated. We highly recommend it! The owner’s communication was good, we’ll return, and we loved the beautiful, quiet, relaxing environment. Thank you!

Quiet, comfortable, with its own kitchen. The only downside is that this guest house is on a mountain, so carrying groceries, a child, a beach bag, and a 5‑liter water bottle up the hill isn’t very comfortable, and the beach is a 10‑to‑15‑minute walk away. There were a lot of mosquitoes; even though we slept under a mosquito net, we still got bitten by about 6‑7 fierce ones each night.

A lovely balcony and a quiet spot, yet only 15 minutes on foot to the main street. The Wi‑Fi worked great. The host was friendly, barely spoke English but still helpful. The kitchen was well equipped, but we spotted both a cockroach and a gecko there.
