Spacious rooms feature flat-screen TVs, seating areas, and private bathrooms, with many boasting elegant wooden flooring and scenic balconies. A rustic restaurant with wooden beams and an open fireplace serves buffet breakfasts and candlelit meals, with a sun terrace overlooking a stream.

Nice accommodation in a beautiful setting, yet our room faced the street, was very warm, and we had to sleep with the windows open because there was no air‑conditioning. The road was very busy, and traffic noise made it hard to sleep.

The interior is very pretty, the rooms look luxurious, the staff are friendly and the food is very good. The reception was a bit awkward, with a language problem (German/French) and filling out forms was cumbersome. The rooms faced the front of the hotel, which is next to a very busy and noisy road. It was warm, so you had to keep the windows open. There was no air conditioning. I didn’t find the price/quality ratio correct; if the rooms had air conditioning and the reception was more welcoming, it would be close, but paying over 200 euros for a not so great night feels a little too much.

The hotel had a typical Black Forest charm and was comfortable with welcoming staff, but the room’s size and access (two floors with no lift) and its proximity to a street where cars zip by at 80 km/h made it hard to ventilate through the tiny windows, which is uncomfortable in heat and under the roof.

Everything was perfect: the hotel’s setting, the spacious, well‑decorated room, a beautiful terrace by the Neumayer river where the water flowed well despite the drought. The staff’s welcome was excellent, friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful stay in an exceptional natural setting.
