The Hotel Alpina is a child- and family-friendly hotel with a big garden in Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland. The property offers mountain views from all rooms, a small lounge, and a leisure room with TV, video and board games. A breakfast buffet can be enjoyed daily. In summer a terrace and deck chairs are available. You can also play table tennis and darts. In winter there is direct access to the cross-country ski runs.

The room was spacious and clean—just wonderful. We were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel for free and pick it up after departure, which was very generous. However, the exact procedure for when and how to return the key at checkout wasn’t clearly explained, and we weren't sure where the lounge was or whether we could drink coffee in the evening or only in the room.
