I stayed in a room that was surprisingly spacious and spotless after having been in cramped hotels in Tokyo and Osaka; the staff welcomed us with cold Japanese tea even though we checked in late, and the lobby fridge stocked many drinks while coffee was served until a set time each morning. We even got to join the free matcha workshop in the morning, which was a lot of fun, and the tiny garden was very sweet. There’s a smoking area at the entrance. The only downside was that I wanted to sit in the garden at night, but they turned off the lights early because of the time, so I couldn’t.
