Open House #hostel sits in central Nice, a 10‑minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. Self‑catering studios include free Wi‑Fi, bed linen, and private bathrooms with hairdryers. Housekeeping is provided, and a shared kitchen lets guests prepare meals. The old town’s pedestrian area, restaurants, and shops are nearby, while the train station is 1.4 km away and the airport 15 minutes by car.

I liked the reception, the daily upkeep of the room and bathroom, the visible cleaning instructions and participation signs in the kitchen. The proximity to the Promenade du Paillon, the Promenade des Anglais, and the central location in the city, as well as the nearby Nice Ville train station, trams, and buses, were all positives. The bedding was noisy, there was no blanket offered, towels were paid for, and storage options were insufficient. The shelf above the toilet was too small for four people, especially if one of them imagined having the room to themselves. A high shelf and a high stool for four were inadequate; I suggest four high stools next to each bed on the stairs side and the opposite side. The storage chest was too small. The kitchen was poorly designed because it was too small. There was a spare toilet in the kitchen. The constant hum of a (I assume) 24/24 restaurant freezer was audible.

The room and facilities were good. For a hostel, everything was excellent.
