The apartment was perfectly located and you could enjoy watching the trains go by. The apartment was well equipped.

Breakfast was great. The room was spacious and well lit. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. There is a lift even though this is an old building. There is a small supermarket with a good selection of food. The restaurant is no longer available and dinner options in the town are limited. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The car parking system is good once you have checked in but this means parking on the street at the beginning of your stay to do so.

“Rheinromantik und Welterbe”

The hotel is clean and well kept. It exudes – like the whole place – the splendor of past times, as holidaying on the Rhine now seems attractive only for foreign cyclists and hikers. So this hotel has also shut down its restaurant operation and offers only a hearty and good breakfast.

“A lovely village which we always enjoy very much, but next time in another property.”

We have stayed at the property before and have always found the management and staff very pleasant and helpful. The property is in a perfect location. The apartment we stayed in was extremely comfortable and very well equipped, although I had not realised that our apartment was on the top floor, with a lot of stairs to negotiate. When I went to check in I found the manager fairly unwelcoming, especially as we had stayed at least four or five times either at the hotel itself or in one of the apartments. There was barely a smile from him and also we went to the apartment block where we had stayed previously, not knowing that we were in another one nearby, so we had to return to the hotel for directions. He should have told us exactly where when we checked in. We very much like the village, but we are reluctant to return to the Altkolnischerhof because of their casual attitude. When you come back to a hotel you like and where you have stayed various times, it is strange to be treated so casually.

I liked the location and how big the apartment was. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Need bigger trash cans as well
