Staying inside the national park was a dream come true, and this hotel really delivered on that front.
The view from my room and the pool area was amazing - it looked out over Lake Manyara.
The swimming pool area was a highlight after a long day of safari, with its breathtaking view of Manyara Lake.
The breakfast was top-notch, and the staff were absolutely fantastic.

“Ok for a short stay in Manyara”
Close to the airport, but the restaurant was open to the outside and we were “bitten alive” by bugs, which was terrible. The rooms are okay but dated and need work; the door to my room scraped on the floor and was hard to operate. Curtains worked okay. The shower was fine and had plenty of hot water. You have to walk outside to get to the rooms, so again you’re fighting the bugs.
“A Disappointing Experience at the Serena Hotel”
I'm extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Serena Hotel. The property's condition is nowhere near what I expected for the price, which was a whopping $630 per night. The listing on the booking platform mentioned activities like archery and cycling, but when I asked the staff, they told me they were either unavailable or broken. It's clear that the hotel isn't providing what it promised, and I feel misled.
“A Mixed Bag at the Lodge”
The views from the pool are stunning, and the staff are super friendly. The lunchbox was a highlight, and the location near the national park is perfect. The lodge is easy to find, thanks to the clear signage on the road. However, the rooms are a bit outdated, with small showers, calcified faucets, and calcium stains on the floor.
“A Chilling Stay with a Few Drawbacks”
The hotel's eerie atmosphere was a major draw for me, and I loved how it added to the overall spooky vibe. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even when I checked in late, which was much appreciated. However, the room was a bit on the small side, and the noise from the nearby highway was pretty loud, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Still, the hotel's unique atmosphere and helpful staff made up for the drawbacks.
“A Hidden Gem Inside the National Park”
Staying inside the national park was a dream come true, and this hotel really delivered on that front. The swimming pool area was a highlight after a long day of safari, with its breathtaking view of Manyara Lake. I loved the bar and the afternoon exhibitions of local people - it was a great way to learn about the culture and relax at the same time.
