Marina Sands sits on Agia Marina’s sandy beach, just 10 km from Chania. Its whitewashed rooms feature private balconies overlooking gardens or a large pool, bathtubs, satellite TV, refrigerators, safes, and optional kitchenettes. Guests enjoy sunset views from the poolside bar, free Wi‑Fi, parking, and nearby water‑sports, Platanias, and Ano Agia Marina villages.

The beach view was great and the shops were just a short walk away, but the breakfast left something to be desired.

The location was perfect and the staff were lovely, and the mature tropical plants made the setting picturesque, yet the rooms needed attention: walls and floors were dirty, the beds were hard—most Greek beds feel that way, and we probably got a more rundown room while the others were better; a swarm of ants appeared on arrival, but the hotel sprayed and they left.

The hotel is right on the beach, the pool area is nice, the rooms are clean and good, and it’s centrally located, but there are only a few sun loungers by the pool, the beach loungers that belong to the hotel should have been free, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work in the room.
