I booked what was advertised as a hotel with a private room, but it turned out to be a hostel. I had to wait for check‑in and by the time I realized it was a hostel I was already late to find another place. I was the only woman among a crowd of men, and constant noises—flatulence, snoring, rustling, footsteps—made it hard to sleep. The air‑conditioner was impossible to set, so it was unbearably cold. There was no blanket, forcing me to sleep in my clothes. The shower had no space to store my belongings or even hang a towel. I paid 20€ for this accommodation, which feels steep for a hostel; my next stay in Vlorë cost 16€ for a nice private room with a lovely private bathroom. I would not recommend staying here; for that price you could rent proper accommodation in the city.

The location was convenient, within walking distance of several excellent and inexpensive restaurants and bakeries. The beach was a 10‑minute walk away, though we preferred a slightly further spot to the southeast, so we took a short bus ride. A store was nearby and a 20‑minute walk led to a street popular with tourists for evening strolls. The room felt a bit cramped; fortunately we were in a lower‑floor room because my 20kg suitcase wouldn’t fit in the locker, so I carried it around all day. The shared bathroom was acceptable, except on the first day there was no water. When I mentioned it to the staff, she said she would look into it but didn’t give a timeline. We really wanted a shower on a 40°C day, so the staff’s passive response lowered my rating a bit.

The accommodation was decent and provided shower towels, but there was a lot of humidity that you could smell inside the capsule.

The stay was affordable, close to the beach, a bar, and only 10 minutes from the start of Saranda’s center. The women's bathroom flooded during the last shower.
