Located in Lillestrøm, Scandic Lillestrøm is a 12-minute train ride from Oslo. The hotel is 500 metres from Lillestrøm Torv Shopping Centre and 50 metres from the train station. The location is great for getting to the airport, the breakfast selection is good, the bed is comfortable, and the room lighting is nice. However, wind blew through the window and the trains on the rail line outside the hotel made a lot of noise.

The staff are awesome people!! Nothing was too much and they were so kind. The hotel itself was easy to navigate, very close to the station (10 mins train ride to Oslo Central and 12 mins to Oslo Airport), had all amenities and was very clean. Love that it’s eco‑friendly. The gym was good and especially loved that they have the beehives on the roof, the honey is amazing!! The food for breakfast is fantastic. I’ve eaten a lot of hotel breakfasts and this was by far our favourite. The evening restaurant was nice and the food was great. The only issue we had was a broken bed the first night but we let them know and were moved immediately. And the room ran a little warm. And no way to use the thermostat to cool it down.

The room was fine but the price was high. The extra bed on the sofa was terrible to sleep on. We had booked a junior suite for four adults, but the sofa bed was narrow, thin, and made of grass. I had expected single beds.
