“Disappointing”
The two staff members we saw were friendly. The first‑floor attic room had sloping ceilings that were unsuitable for someone over six feet tall. The blind behind the TV didn’t work. We requested a quiet room but had to shut all windows to avoid road noise, making the room stuffy overnight. The bar had no draught ale; we expected ice and lemon with a gin and tonic but none was provided. The dinner food was mediocre. We ordered fish and chips expecting battered fish, and as an Indian‑run place we expected high‑quality Indian food, which was not the case.
