Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Cedar Hill

The property looked really nice, but when I arrived around 12:15 the room wasn’t ready until 2:00, and I had a wedding at 1:00, so I had to find another hotel; I never actually stayed there.

Breakfast surpassed my expectations, parking was convenient, the hotel’s location was handy, and the staff were friendly and helpful; however, the room was overpriced—last time I stayed on the 4th of July weekend during FIFA I paid 121.00 per night, but this time it was 224.00 per night, a huge markup; staff should be more careful about double‑charging, as I paid when booking and was charged again at the front desk, and I’m still waiting for the refund.

I arrived to a clean, roomy space with a very comfy bed, a fridge, microwave, and AC that all functioned properly, and the spot was spot on. The bathroom sink, however, didn’t drain and filled up quickly. I had to use the stairs because the elevator smelled awful. The only staff I met had earbuds in, barely met my gaze, never smiled, and gave me a room that was already occupied, so I opened a door to find someone else inside.

The place was spotless and the bed was super comfy; the pool and breakfast were fantastic, and the location was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, letting me check out late without any hassle. I’ll definitely return.
