The location is excellent, right next to the metro that takes you straight to the center, the cleanliness is good, they change towels every day, there's a free water machine in the hallway of the rooms, you can see the Eiffel Tower from the cafeteria on the 8th floor, the decor is nice, overall great value for money, I recommend it and will come back on our next visit.

⚠️ I had a frightening experience at Novotel Paris Porte de Versailles. Around 23:30, while we were sleeping peacefully in our room, we heard our door open. I immediately got up and was shocked to find the room door wide open. We reported the incident to the hotel, as it was a serious security concern. The staff’s response was far from reassuring; they simply said the cameras had been checked and no one had touched our door. That explanation makes no sense: we heard the door open and found it open a few seconds later. If no one opened it, how did it end up open? We asked for details about the cameras, the electronic lock, and any staff access, but the answers were vague and contradictory. No concrete explanation was given. What worries us most is that the hotel seems more interested in closing the matter quickly than truly understanding what happened. When a guest sleeps in a hotel room, they must be sure no one can enter without permission. In our case, that trust was clearly broken. We are still awaiting a proper explanation. A vague reply like “no one touched the door” is absolutely insufficient for such a serious situation. Very bad experience and a sense of insecurity we had never felt in a hotel before.
