The island of Kudarikila and the Baa Sand hotel are a pearl of the Baa Atoll. I’m already on my second visit. Ali and his team are super guys. I was thrilled by the first unusual surprise meeting. The hotel rooms are cozy, everything works, the beds are great. The small infinity pool on the third floor is very cute. If you want a peaceful, quiet resort‑style vacation, this is the place. The island is small but very cozy, thanks to the locals. It has the exact Maldivian scenery, unlike other local islands. Tilted palms over the ocean, cozy swings, quiet desert beaches. Because there are very few tourists, it’s quiet and completely peaceful. The island is rich in marine life—turtles, sharks, rays, and a bunch of fish. Excellent snorkeling and reef. Other tourists from neighboring resort islands are brought here on tours. There are five small shops and a couple of cafés. Breakfast is served at the Bon Bon café opposite the hotel. I also liked the spa salon. The girl from India does very good massages. Parrots around the hotel create a cheerful mood. Bu, Bi, and Peye are cute. Ali also organizes various excursions—night fishing, manta rays, dolphins, snorkeling on nearby islands. In short, anyone who wants a calm, quiet vacation in the Maldives at a reasonable price should definitely go. Thanks again to the hotel team for the stay, and see you next time. The Bon Bon café could improve its food. There are too many spicy dishes on the menu, but that’s a local specialty.

Everything matched the photos. The hotel was very good. The staff were very helpful and courteous, immediately assisting with transfer problems. The island was shown to us, and even on the first snorkeling trip we were accompanied. The home reef is beautiful. The path to the bikini beach along the sea looks like a postcard.

A wonderful new hotel with the most heartfelt people! Everything was liked, from the architecture of the hotel building to the beautiful island of Kudarikila. One could endlessly list what the staff did to make our vacation happy. Thanks a lot to Ali and his team! We will definitely come back. Keep it up! We recommend definitely taking the manta tour in Haniyara Bay from Baa Sand. The organization is great, and the memories will stay forever. Everything was perfect.

Our experience at Ba Sand Hotel, Maldives was partly positive and partly disappointing. The hotel itself is very nice, welcoming, and equipped with all necessary services. Cleanliness is impeccable, towels are changed regularly, and the facility offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. A special shout‑out goes to the manager, who was extremely kind and polite. However, there are organizational and contextual aspects that made the stay less relaxing. The first major issue was the welcome upon arrival: despite an indicated transfer time to the hotel by boat, we had to wait seven hours at the airport in the heat, with no support or alternative solution provided by the hotel. Another important aspect concerns the beach. The advertised images show a wonderful sea, and indeed the island has a beautiful beach… but it is not the one accessible to European tourists. On the main beach you can only stay in clothes, while for swimming you were required to go to the so‑called “Bikini Beach,” a small patch of sand very different from that shown in the photos. The water there was often dirty and full of leaves, and to reach it you had to cross a trail in the jungle, infested with mosquitoes, making relaxation impossible. The island itself lacks services and entertainment. There are no comfortable chairs, no bar open during the day, and no entertainment. The hotel restaurant opens only in the evening, so if you are hungry or thirsty during the day, there are no alternatives. Another serious problem concerns medical assistance: the medical guard opens only at 20:00, which means that in case of need, there is no support available during the day. Moreover, there are no tourist transport options, and any extra experience has high costs, with hidden taxes added. For example, some activities were advertised at 150 dollars, but at the time of payment an additional VAT percentage was applied, not disclosed beforehand. We also tried to find information on how to leave the island, but no one gave us clear answers. This made the experience stressful, to the point of making us feel more like prisoners than guests on a relaxing vacation. In summary, the hotel as a facility is acceptable, but everything related to organization, external services, and the overall island experience leaves much to be desired. I hope these aspects improve to offer a stay up to expectations.
