Imagine a former castle turned into a domain of old stone, somewhat off‑the‑beaten‑path yet not too remote, surrounded by vineyards, with four exquisitely renovated guest rooms each with its own character, a stunning pool, and a gourmet breakfast every morning. Add to that the welcome with a big “A” from Anne and Stéphane (and Dali 😉) and you’ll see why we’re so enthusiastic about Domaine de Bôle. We were received not as guests but as friends. A delightful Continental Breakfast was served in the garden by an exceptionally friendly host, and we enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool after a hot morning exploring the area. The former chateau has been tastefully restored by a super‑friendly couple who have turned their decorating talent into practical reality, and the bathroom featured a superb double shower.
