“Beautiful ambiance, difficult approach”
The hotel looks very stylish after a tasteful renovation, set in a medieval hilltop village with beautiful surroundings and views, but it’s a bit worn and hard to reach through narrow alleys, so it’s best suited for small cars.
I stumbled upon this gem tucked high above the sea, where the air feels noticeably cooler and the scenery is simply breathtaking. The room was spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, with a calm décor that made it feel like a private sanctuary; housekeeping arrived daily without fail. The on‑site restaurant served genuinely excellent dishes, and the staff were attentive and friendly. A special shout‑out to Ines at reception: she personally guided me to the parking, explained everything, and was a constant source of help throughout our stay. After we left, the team reached out to let us know they’d found our forgotten glasses—hope we’ll get them back soon so the story ends perfectly. The only drawback was the narrow road leading to the hotel; a wide‑bodied vehicle needs to drive carefully, but it’s doable. Getting to the beach is easier by car or taxi. I’d happily return and thank the entire Kukareku crew, especially Ines!
