The tents were well spaced so we didn’t hear the neighbours, and the price was reasonable for the season even if it’s still on the pricey side; the rooster’s crow was memorable and we skipped breakfast, which highlighted a language clash between Flemish and French at the host’s end. The welcome was poor, smiles seemed optional, and they didn’t note that we didn’t speak French; there were no duvet covers, which felt a bit unhygienic, and another nearby tent site was nicer and better signposted, saving us from waiting over an hour. The mattress was uncomfortable and split into two parts.
