The Garden Suite at Shuttleworth, a recently renovated guest house in Old Warden, offers private bathrooms with baths and showers, free WiFi, and garden views. Each room includes a work desk, seating area, TV, electric kettle, wardrobe, and free toiletries, plus streaming services. Located 33 km from London Luton Airport, it is a short walk from Swiss Garden and near Knebworth House and Cainhoe Castle.

The Garden Suite at Shuttleworth House sits in a gorgeous setting, with a view of the grounds and the side of the grand house. The room was spacious enough, stocked with plenty of toiletries, had instant hot water, and was spotless. The single bed was comfortable and the parking felt secure. However, the suite is in an extension that was probably once student housing, so the walls aren’t sound‑proof; you can hear taps, toilets, TVs, conversations, and doors from adjacent rooms. If you’re attending an event there with a group, that might be fine, but for a short break without an event, I’d pick a more traditional option.

The place was very quiet and exactly where we needed it for the Shuttleworth museum and the rest. The shower was a bit tricky – it ran very hot and it was hard to get any cool water.

I was really disappointed. The room was much smaller than I expected, the bed was tiny, and it was hard to step into the bath. The noise from a wedding made it noisy, the rooms were very hot, and it was difficult to get into the main hotel to check in. The room was far too small for what we needed.

The location was great and the rooms and facilities were very good. We really enjoyed our one‑night stay. The TV was small for the room and we could hear our neighbours, but those points didn’t bother us.
