The Falcon Inn, in Long Whatton, offers secure parking for race vans and flexible breakfast options, ideal for motorsport teams and track day enthusiasts near Donington Park. This country pub and hotel features free Wi-Fi, private parking, and traditional British cuisine. Rooms, set in a converted stable and schoolhouse, are en-suite with TVs and tea/coffee facilities, near Loughborough and East Midlands Airport.

We had stayed at the Falcon before and found it easy to reach from East Midlands airport; the room was spotless and the bed comfortable. We asked for a low floor because of mobility issues but were given a high one. The food, which had been excellent on our previous visit, was poor this time, though the wine and service were excellent after we spoke with the manager and paid a reduced food price.

Our room was quiet, clean, and spacious, and both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious; we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

The location was perfect for the wedding we attended, there was plenty of parking, the bed was comfy, the shower great, and the room was beautifully decorated. Because the wedding started early, the room wasn’t ready yet, but the staff took our bags and left the key in the door for us after everyone had gone home, so we could check in after the celebrations. However, there was no secure way to leave the key when checking out early (around 8 am); a key box or similar would be useful.
