Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca

The area is great for restaurants and bars, all within a short walk, and the famous vegan/vegetarian spot Moosewood is just 3 minutes away. The Commons pedestrian shopping area and other bars are 5‑10 minutes on foot. The building is in the middle of internal and external renovations, with sidewalk and lobby work ongoing. No noise came from that. Parking was fine when dry, but if it rained it was a 10‑minute walk in the open. Drivers ignored the “Hilton Only” spaces on Saturdays. There was just one small restaurant and no bar, which makes sense given the location.

“Would NOT recommend or return.”

The location is fine if you need to stay downtown, but the hotel itself is run down. They had just installed a new sidewalk and entrance. There was only one parking spot in front for drop‑off and pick‑up, and the paid parking was almost 3 blocks away. It felt overpriced for what little you actually got, and I missed having breakfast included.

“Good one night stay”

The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful, though they couldn’t recall their own names, and the parking lot was under construction right outside the main entrance, which was a bit annoying.

“Great location but things room may not work as expected.”

The hotel is decent and conveniently close to the Commons and restaurants, but the lights in the center console were broken and when we called at 9 pm to “0” we got no response, which was frustrating given how much we paid.
