The hotel sits in the center of Hirtshals with nice views of the sea and harbor. However, cleaning was needed, the facilities and furniture were very worn, and the fire doors were stuck open without a self‑closing mechanism.

Breakfast was excellent, and the location with sea and harbor views was fantastic; our bikes were safely stored in the conference room. On the 5th floor, wind noises were a bit louder, which is to be expected given the location.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially as we came from the USA, and they even offered me ice for my drinks when other hotels would refuse. They were just lovely people, and I’m not sure why there’s a frown in my review when I chose all the exceptional smiley faces. We liked everything about the property and our stay.

Under standard. The food was bad, the reheated dishes were bland, and the service was sloppy.
