Les Abris Du Château, set in Mer, lies 15 minutes from Chambord Castle and 4.4 km from the Loire River. Guests enjoy an outdoor pool, garden, sun terrace, and private‑terrace rooms overlooking the pool, each with flat‑screen TV, wardrobe and en‑suite shower. Complimentary Wi‑Fi, on‑site parking, continental breakfast, and nearby town‑centre restaurants complete the experience.

The bedding was in good condition and I slept very well! The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and the young man who served us was very good. The location is close to Chambord, which is why I chose it. The cleanliness is not the strong point of this place. When I arrived, the entry rug was dirty (see photo), there were cup stains on the kettle shelf, marks on the mirrors, mold in the bathroom, and stains on the walls that I partially cleaned with my wipes. For 90€ a night, it’s disappointing to have to do the cleaning yourself.
