The room itself was fine, but the pool was dirty and all three of our kids developed painful skin breakouts the next morning; the water made the breakouts worse, so we couldn't enjoy island hopping in Port Barton as we had planned, and the hotel basically ruined that rare opportunity.

The location is amazing with a shortcut to restaurants, you can help yourself to toast for breakfast, the accommodation is basic but good value and the pool stays open late; they can help with laundry and arranging tours or transport. The whole area is having power cuts, which makes the stay a bit uncomfortable but unavoidable; the solar panels keep the fans running but not the air‑con.

The hotel was very pretty and well kept, the room was comfortable and clean, Sandra at reception was very attentive and full of good advice, the breakfast (toast with hot drink and juice) was minimal but tasty, there’s also a laundry service on site, and it’s a 10‑minute walk to the van terminal and a 3‑minute walk to the beaches.

Sandra is really nice and helpful, the cottage is essential but clean, they have solar panels that provide some electricity all day (not everything works but almost), it’s a 2‑minute walk to the center and the beach, but the air‑con is noisy.

A big thank you to Sandra for her kindness, smile and help! Complimentary breakfast was offered; we will definitely recommend this hotel. Nothing to complain about.
