The location is unusual and beautiful. The chalet is especially charming and carefully decorated. Nothing else—this place is magical.

The location is absolutely great, perched at 1830 meters, very quiet with a beautiful mountain view. This isn’t criticism—just note that getting to the chalet is a bit of an adventure. The path is narrow and a bus could come right at you; if you have to drive up several times there’s nothing on the mountain. A light at night outside to use the toilet would have been nice.

I loved the location and the chance to sleep in a real historic Mayen, plus the host’s warm welcome and willingness to help.
