Close to the center, friendly staff. The bed was one and a half beds. Too many insects outside the door because it’s surrounded by plants. Breakfast was insufficient; even in low season more options were needed. If you can’t flush toilet paper, the bin must be emptied daily.

The hostel sits on a quiet street just three minutes from the city center, and they even offer free transport to a campsite on the lagoon shore 10 km out. Over the years some parts have fallen into neglect and need fixing; the kitchen could use new pots and pans, and the breakfast is very basic, so don’t expect much from it.

“No me gustó”

The staff were very attentive, but the place didn’t live up to the photos—everything looked immaculate online but in reality it was messy, poorly maintained, and dirty in the common areas. The breakfast was basic, but the worst issue was the lack of cleanliness; they should hire someone to clean the kitchen, bathrooms, showers, and common zone. I wouldn’t stay again because there are slightly pricier options that are in better condition. I’ve stayed in many hostels across Mexico, and this is the only one I wouldn’t return to.

“Overall it is an ok accommodation but do not expect much!”

The hostel’s location was amazing—close to everything yet still quiet, and the staff were really helpful. I met so many great people there! However, the place looks a bit run‑down; everything feels old and shaky. The dorm was crowded, had no curtains, and the kitchen was old with few utensils. When I tried to check in, nobody was at the front desk, so I waited 1–2 hours for someone to show up. It’s not terrible, but it definitely could be better.
