The room faced the ocean, only 100 m away. We paid extra for a sea‑view upgrade that was only confirmed at check‑in; they claimed our original booking had no window, which seemed odd. The upgrade price felt steep for the low season. The hotel doesn’t accept cards, so we had to withdraw cash at an ATM 40 minutes away. Wi‑Fi was promised but never worked, and the TV and AC were useless because the remote batteries were dead. Only one body towel was provided, no hand towel. The lady at reception was friendly but only spoke Taiwanese and didn’t respond to our texts.

The owner welcomed me warmly and helped move my luggage into the room on the day I arrived. I didn’t mention my sore legs from hiking, but her proactive assistance felt very considerate.
