“A disappointing experience”
I’m a frequent traveler looking for a fair-priced, reliable spot to return to on city trips; luxury isn’t my goal, just consistency. The online photos promised a decent room, and the price seemed reasonable. When I arrived, the pictures didn’t match reality: my first room had no furnishings except a bed, stained carpet, scratched walls, an unclean shower, and trash in the bathroom. It smelled like urine and cigarettes, and the AC was broken. I asked for a room change and was moved, but the new room still had significant damage, stained sheets and carpet, and the AC couldn’t be adjusted, leaving the room at 82 °F. The door lacked a secondary latch and had a large gap underneath. Late‑night hallway arguments and door‑banging from loud guests were common. I also noticed the hotel didn’t require scanning the room card to use the elevator, so anyone could climb up—non‑guests were seen in the lobby. As a solo traveler, I felt unsafe most of the time due to the lock situation, poor cleanliness, and lack of security. It’s unfortunate, but solo travelers should be aware of what they’re signing up for. The online photos were misleading, and I expected a better deal.
