The Via Salina - Hotel am See, an adults-only hotel, is situated on the shores of Haldensee lake in Nesselwängle, Tannheim Valley. The stay was perfect: the room was wonderful, the hotel beautiful and well maintained, the location ideal, with stunning mountain and lake views, and the staff were very attentive and friendly; in short, it was spectacular. There was nothing I didn’t like – everything was perfect.

The hotel is right on the lake, rooms are clean, the place feels cozy, the pool and sauna area are nice, staff are very friendly, breakfast has a wide selection, dinner food is good, parking is free right outside, and there are day passes for free bus and three mountain lifts. We like sleeping with the window open, but it was noisy at night because of passing cars. Our room faced the mountain, so the front side by the lake is probably quieter. We’ll keep that in mind next time.

Room: great! Food: besides the menu, the evening menu was good (the menu was too much for us). The lunch menu was lovely. We booked without a hotel plan. Breakfast was very extensive and tasty! Construction noise (new carpets) in the building is a bit loud, but still tolerable.
